Two Teenagers Killed in Co Mayo Road Crash

Two men aged in their late teens have died in a single-vehicle crash in County Mayo overnight. The incident occurred at approximately 4.15 a.m. on the L5140 local road in Laghtadawannagh near Ballina.

GardaĆ­ confirmed that both men were pronounced dead at the scene. Three other occupants of the vehicle, including two boys in their mid-teens and one adult woman, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to Mayo University Hospital for treatment.

The road remains closed as gardaĆ­ carry out a technical examination. Local traffic has been diverted while investigations continue.

The coroner has been notified, and post-mortem examinations will be conducted in due course to determine the precise cause of death.
