AG.AL has won the Esports World Cup 2026 Club Championship after French Trackmania player Gwendal “Gwen” Duparc produced a dramatic victory that denied Saudi Arabia’s Team Falcons a third consecutive title.
The Club Championship was decided during the final stages of the Trackmania tournament after seven weeks of competition. Team Falcons entered the playoffs in first place with 4,600 points, having won the championship in both 2024 and 2025.
Their hopes of completing a hat-trick suffered a major setback when Carl-Antoni “Carl Jr.” Cloutier, a seven-time Trackmania world champion representing Team Falcons, was eliminated in the quarterfinals.
That result opened the door for AG.AL, with Duparc needing to finish third or higher in the final to secure the overall championship for his organisation.
Racing in front of his home fans, Duparc delivered the performance AG.AL needed. He took control of the final against representatives of Team Vitality, Team Liquid and Natus Vincere and finished first.
His victory lifted AG.AL’s total to 5,300 points, putting the organisation at the top of the Club Championship standings and ending Team Falcons’ hopes of retaining the trophy.
“It feels so great,” Duparc said after the victory as his AG.AL teammates joined him on stage. “Anything can happen. I’ve done it, I’ve done the match of my life. Thank you everyone. This trophy is for you, for everyone.”
Duparc earned $130,000 for winning the Trackmania competition, while AG.AL collected $7 million as the Club Championship winner.
Team Falcons finished second and received $5 million. The Saudi organisation had been widely regarded as the favorite after its successes during the first two editions of the Esports World Cup, but inconsistent results throughout this year’s event prevented it from completing another championship run.
AG.AL built its challenge through several strong performances across different games. Its teams won the TEKKEN 8 competition and added three runner-up finishes, allowing the organisation to remain within reach of Team Falcons before the Trackmania finale.
The victory represented a significant rise for AG.AL, which has competed at the Esports World Cup since its first edition. The organisation finished sixth last year after initially entering the event in 2024.
AG.AL chairman Le Kedeng celebrated the achievement after Duparc’s decisive performance.
“This is our third year coming to EWC,” he said, recalling the organisation’s progress across the competition’s three editions. “Last year we came sixth, but this year, please tell me, who is the best team in the world?”
Duparc’s Trackmania triumph ultimately provided the final points AG.AL needed to claim the biggest prize in the club competition and end Team Falcons’ two-year reign.
