€17 Million EuroMillions Jackpot Won in Ulster

The National Lottery has confirmed that last night’s €17 million EuroMillions jackpot was won in the Ulster region, marking one of the biggest lottery wins in Ireland this year. Only one ticket matched all the winning numbers, making it a sole winner.

The winning combination was 07, 25, 30, 37, 41, with the lucky stars 05 and 11. The ticket was purchased at a retail outlet in the Ulster region, although the National Lottery has not revealed the exact shop. Officials are urging players to check their tickets carefully.

In addition to the jackpot, an online player in County Limerick won €500,000 in the EuroMillions Plus draw. The winning numbers for that draw were 11, 16, 31, 35, and 38.

A spokesperson for the National Lottery said the news has generated excitement across Ireland. “We are absolutely thrilled to announce that an Irish player has won the €17 million EuroMillions jackpot in last night’s draw,” they said. “This is the second EuroMillions jackpot won in Ireland this year, following the historic €250 million win in June. We’re encouraging all players to check their tickets very carefully. If you are the winner, sign the back of your ticket and keep it somewhere safe.”

Ireland has seen several notable EuroMillions wins in the past two decades. Dolores McNamara became the country’s first EuroMillions jackpot winner in July 2005, collecting over €115 million. In June 2013, a Dublin player took home more than €93 million as part of a €187 million jackpot share. More recently, in July 2020, an online player won €49.5 million with a €2.50 ticket.

The National Lottery has a long history of providing life-changing prizes, and this latest win is expected to generate considerable attention. Retail outlets and online platforms are reporting increased ticket checks as players verify their numbers.

While the identity of the Ulster winner has not yet been disclosed, the National Lottery encourages the winner to come forward and take the necessary steps to claim the prize securely. Officials emphasize that signing the ticket and storing it safely are essential first steps to ensure the winnings are protected.

With two major EuroMillions jackpots claimed in Ireland this year alone, excitement for the game remains high. Players across the country continue to participate in the draws, hoping to match the numbers and secure a life-changing payout.
